CV78PRO-PT Universal (corded) Connect Hose
This model of the CV78PRO series is the Pigtail or Universal Connect hose style, sub model -PT. Our Universal Connect Professional attachment group includes a new lightweight crush-proof hose with a regular connection cuff that includes a 7 foot cord attachment (called a "Pig-Tail") built into the hose cuff that plugs into a standard electrical outlet somewhere nearby the CV inlet to provide electricity to the premium power brush.

This type of connection fits most wall valves on the market today where power for electric attachments is not supplied directly by the CV wall plate. Our universal Pigtail hose is designed to work with all standard wall plates, even some of those that were installed years ago and those that may not have originally included a powered attachment group. Standard connection is generally the preferred inlet valve type for retrofitting installations (new install, existing home). This type of installation does not require that you also run 120V wiring to each valve, only a low-voltage signal wire that is used in all CVS installations. To use the Central Vacuum System with standard connection valve and pigtail hose you need only plug in your hose to the wall.

When you need to supply electricity to the powered brush for cleaning carpets just plug in the cord that is connected to the hose wall cuff to an electrical outlet somewhere nearby. The pigtail cord on the hose is 7 feet long, and can easily stretch across a hallway if needed. The CV78PRO series is also available in model CV78PRO-DC (see link at bottom of this page) with a direct connection wall end. The Heavy Duty Commercial Powered Brush
When vacuuming with a powered brush one premise holds true: Faster is Better. Unlike its domestic competitors the European manufactured Lindhaus commercial power brush uses a geared belt drive and independent brush motor to drive their brush at over 5,000 RPM.

That is nearly twice as fast as most power brushes. The unique brush roll is driven at this speed consistently during cleaning, allowing our nozzle to surpass all conventional flat belt drive products. The Lindhaus PB14 PRO is a true Commercial Powered Brush with a widepath nozzle, a full width of 380mm and a cleaning path of 14 inches.

The Lindhaus PB14-PRO nozzle is made for heavy duty and critical cleaning applications. The PB14-PRO is not offered by those distributors whom offer only systems for cleaning residential or light duty applications due to it's over engineering and higher price than most standard power nozzles. The standard duty Lindhaus PB power brushes are great nozzles for residential applications, but differ a great deal in design from the PB14-PRO. The PB14-PRO is a derivative of an industrial vacuum, the Lindhaus RX series, and includes many advanced features for high usage applications.

The Lindhaus PB-PRO power nozzle uses the geared drive system for unsurpassed performance. Geared belt drive systems offer unsurpassed cleaning performance for carpeted floors. If geared belt drive is so superior to flat belts, why does not every vacuum use a geared belt? This is a great question, and the answer is that the ability to drive a brush at 5,000 RPM is a complicated and costly procedure.

First, you must balance the rotating brush to such a high degree that special equipment is required to do so. If improperly balanced or unbalanced quality brush were used it would become damaged by the additional stress placed upon it rotating at such a high speed. Other parts must also be able to work within these tolerances, such as the bristles, bearings, pulleys and belt.

Most all domestic vacuum nozzles use a single flat or round belt. This low-tech approach is cheap to manufacture, and adds more consumables to the vacuum nozzle and requires service. When using a conventional vacuum nozzle, the moment the brush roller touches the flooring slippage occurs. After 10 to 15 hours of use the heat and wear on the belt has weakened it enough that belt slippage becomes noticeable. A weak belt can result in a loss of up to 50% of the rotational speed.

Remember again faster is better. The geared belt drive also provides an additional benefit that is not found in most flat belt nozzles; excellent edge cleaning on both side of the brush. Thanks to the narrow width of the geared belt the bristles at the end of the brush are closer to the edge than regular power nozzles.

The geared belt of the PB-PRO (shown above colored red) is synthetic, made of neoprene and is fiberglass reinforced. Rubber is not needed because the belt does not stretch into place or require tension to spin the roller. The PB-PRO belt does not stretch out and does not require replacement like standard flat belts and is warranted for 3 years, and will last much, much longer. The bearings are sealed true commercial precision bearings, not the usual throw away bearings as used in most other domestic vacuums.

The bearings are matched by the manufacturer for the speed and load of the application. The bearing holders are also unique and are made from cast aluminum. Most power nozzles use plastic end caps to hold the brush which mount into a plastic base. The problem is that most times the end of the roller will become tangled in threads, hair and carpet fibers which become heated by friction then melt the end of the roller and the base of the nozzle.

The PB-PRO end caps are made from cast aluminum and use o-rings to seal dirt, dust and threads away from the bearings which prevent damage to the brush roll and base structure. To reduce noise and vibration large rubber caps cover the brush bearings so the transfer of power from motor to brush is smooth and quiet.

The bristles on the brush roller of the PB-PRO are also commercial quality. The bristles are rated at 600 hours of use before failure. That's 6 - 10 times the life expectancy of domestic brushes. Considering that the brush roll is the only wear item of the PB-PRO you can see the low cost of maintenance for the PB-PRO. Other quality Power Brush features include convergent bristles, which means two rows of brushes are always touching the floor at one time, pulling everything to the center. The funnel shaped, center mounted brush nozzle intake with a geared belt is also unique to the PB-PRO Nozzle.

The PB-PRO uses an electronic logic circuit that monitors the brush speed, constantly checking thousands of times per second for a possible overload. On most domestic vacuums this is not required, the brush simply does not spin fast enough, nor is there any direct drive on a flat belt system. This same logic circuit also alerts you via LED lights on the power nozzle when the brush is set too low. No more guessing if the vacuum is adjusted correctly, no more wondering if it is time to replace the belt.

How many times have you inadvertently vacuumed up a throw rug or article of clothing? In a normal vacuum, you at least break a belt, and possibly burn out the motor. With the logic circuit in the PB-PRO, the brush stops and signals the user with a red light. This allows you to unplug the machine and remove the object from the nozzle before damage can be done. Plugging the power brush back in automatically resets the circuit and you're ready to clean again.

The nozzle connector of the PB-PRO is a double swivel that articulates both up and down, and side to side for complete control. The button locking connector fits a standard 32mm button lock wand for a positive locking connection and uses a release pedal to recline the nozzle into a cleaning position. The front and belt side of the nozzle are wrapped with a non-marring furniture guard to prevent damaging walls and baseboards and the boltless edge cleaning side features baseboard rollers. Only found on the PB-PRO the baseboard rollers are made from nylon and are vertically mounted in a metal housing. When cleaning against a wall or cabinet the rollers help the nozzle to glide down the wall providing excellent edge cleaning without snagging or marring.

All four wheels of the PB-PRO are covered with a soft vinyl tire which protects the floor and provides excellent tracking on floors of all types. All four wheels are mounted on metal axels that provide for extended usage and wear resistance over the more common plastic wheel mounts. The PB-PRO cleaning shoe (opening for the brush) was also redesigned from the domestic nozzles and is covered with stainless steel plates and carpet protectors. The stainless steel plates prevent damage to the bottom of the nozzle that is common with high or rough usage. Standard power brushes use plastic bottom plates that can become damaged when banged into heavy furniture or dragged over door thresholds.

Another feature exclusive to the PB-PRO is the side entry brush roller. In other power brushes the complete nozzle must be disassembled to remove the brush roller from the housing for service or replacement. The PB-PRO's unique side entry roller housing features a removable door that slides off the nozzle and allows you to remove the roller from the nozzle without the use of any tools and without taking apart the nozzle base. This exclusive feature allows cleaning crews to service the PB-PRO in the field, on the job without having to return to a service center for cleaning or maintenance.

Yet another feature exclusive to the PB-PRO is the filter door with removable and washable foam filter. The filter is mounted on the back of the nozzle housing and protects the brush motor by filtering the air that is pulled into the nozzle for cooling.

Internal features of the PB-PRO include a cushioned motor mount for less noise and vibration, solid state circuit board, steel wear plates in the pivoting nozzle connector and a micro switch that automatically shuts down the power brush when the handle is locked in the upright position. Despite it's impressive feature set using the PB-PRO is simple for anyone.

You need only connect the PB-PRO to the cleaning wand and plug it in. The carpet height adjustment is designed to clean 90% of carpet types set in the middle of its range and will require no further adjustment. The brush indicators will monitor the nozzle while in use with a green light and alert you to any problems with a red light. The PB-PRO is designed for high usage and built to take the rough use of service work. Perfectly suited to cleaning large offices or commercial buildings, restaurants and other areas with large carpeted floor spaces. The PB-PRO is equally well suited to cleaning the average home and will perform reliably for many years.

Telescopic Wand & Cord Management
Connecting the PB-PRO Power Brush to the hose handle was given no less thought than the power brush itself. The new double action Myraton telescopic wand provides effortless attachment and adjustment of the power brush for carpet cleaning. Through a easy to use thumb button the chromed steel wand can be adjusted for any sized user, extending from 24.5" - 38.75".

The new Myraton tele-wand has incredibly smooth slide action. The new latching mechanism give a firm lock that does not slip and is easy to set. The new adjustable wand also has a redesigned interior that is smooth to reduce debris snags and increase airflow. Sealed from the dirt and dust passing through the wand itself, the telescopic action is completely maintenance free.

The lower "stationary" part of the wand system includes the more reliable rivet down steel button lock keeping the wand engaged into the power brush. Two soft nylon cord keepers come preinstalled through which the power nozzle cord is routed. The upper section of the power nozzle cord is a stretch type coil, similar to a telephone handset cord, providing tension while in the cleaning position.

The top of the telescopic wand includes an easy release tab to quickly disengage the hose from the wand and a small crease at the top of the extension tube that centers and lowers the hose button lock for easy attachment. The back of the upper wand holds the permanently riveted Plastiflex Cord Management connector. This cord connection collar holds the cord in a ready-mounted position for quick connection to the hose grip.

Simply attach the hose to the wand and the power nozzle's cord is automatically plugged in for you. Pushing the release button on the front of the wand lets you quickly detach the wand from the hose, no fiddling with a cord plug. A feature highly prized by central vacuumer's, the quick attach cord management system makes changing from one tool to another fast and easy.

The 30ft. & 360° CVS Hose
The lightweight current carrying hose is 30 feet long with a soft molded ElectraFlex© hose body. The CVS hose body is highly flexible to make sharp turns without cutting off the suction. The handgrip is also the latest design in ergonomic "Gas Pump" grips. Keeping the grab area small means less fatigue on your fingers and wrist than with gripping the whole diameter of the hose.

The CV78PRO Premium's hose body is an oversized 1 3/8" ID with a smooth bore interior for better airflow properties. The larger interior diameter hose gives air moving through the hose less resistance for increased velocity and through flow. The new 1 3/8" hose works exactly the same as older 1.25" hoses.

The hose-to-grip connection has a full 360° swivel union that keeps you tangle free while moving about room to room, and the fingertip switch is 3 position giving you complete control over the remote suction unit and the powered brush. The switch has a center off position, move the switch in one direction to turn on the power unit for straight suction cleaning or to clean hard floors.

Moving the switch to the third position will turn on the suction unit and also energize the powered brush for carpet cleaning. An industry standard, this hose is manufactured by Plastiflex for the PB-PRO kit and will fit all new and existing CVS systems with standard connection wall plates.

New 35' hose upgrade option available at order.
The same gas-pump style swivel grip 1 3/8" ID hose is now available in 35ft length. The 35' hose is the longest electric hose produced and the longest allowed by UL for residential cleaning systems. Don't be mislead by those claiming to offer a 36 foot long central vacuum hose. They are trying to fool everyone by measuring the hose from tip to tip. Real hose measurements are the flexible hose body (30ft or 35ft) not including the ends. Add the length of the grip and wall ends to a 35 foot hose measurement and you will achieve the misleading 36 foot hose.

Just like the PB-PRO power brush and the Plastiflex premium hose, it is the attachments that get the cleaning done and make using a CV System a pleasure to use. When it comes to hard floors we made sure to include the best true hard floor brush. The EcoPro EP14105 natural bristle wide path 14 inch cleaning brush is made for high usage. The EP14105 floor tool exceeds the standard floor brush used in most generic central vacuum kits, particularly for uneven floor surfaces or homes with pets. With it's unique castle cut design and non-marking prolypropelyne housing the EP14105 floor brush lets you clean hard floors and walls quickly and safely.

The EP14105 is a heavy-duty floor brush suitable for home or commercial use. The expansive working width provides excellent coverage in large areas and is also very maneuverable with a full swivel neck. The EP14105 has a dual strip of plush natural fill bristle front and back with a vinyl outboard rollers that keep the tool from scratching or marring wood or laminate floors. The large (50mm) center opening allows for optimal airflow and brush set is detachable for easy cleaning in the sink or dishwasher for years of trouble free use. The floor tool's connector is a standard friction fit for quick connection to the second included wand.

Aluminum Telescopic Cleaning Wand
No more Stooping. No more Twisting. No more Hassle. Along with the chromed steel double action wand for the Lindhaus power brush, Vacdepot also includes a second telescopic wand made of lightweight aluminum for use with the floor brush or for above the floor cleaning. Our ultra lightweight wand weighs just 10 oz, less than half the weight of two conventional steel wands, making it great for zipping through the house while cleaning hard floors.

The new telescopic wand has a durable black finish and adjusts fully from 22 inches to 39 inches in 1 inch increments. The latching mechanism is a positive ratchet giving a firmer lock into the desired height allowing the tool to be resized on the fly for the user. The Not So Basic Three
While most every CVS attachment kit will include the three basic above the floor attachments: dusting brush, upholstery tool and crevice tool, we have included the best of the basic three in our custom CV78PRO Lindhaus attachment kit.

In every cleaning action, it is the tool at the direction of the user that gets the job done. Quality above the floor cleaning tools, just as with the EcoPro hard floor brush, not only get the job done faster but get it done better. The cleaning tool is where the suction meets the dirt and you need the best connection design between the two for superior performance. We had many choices available in this area and we selected the best for inclusion in our custom kit. To start with we replaced the regular round dusting brush with our professional dusting tool aptly named the Ultimate Dusting Brush; Wessel-Werk model UDB174-32. The UDB174 dusting tool is the nozzle we also ship with our commercial backpack vacuum systems for heavy duty cleaning where it is prized by maid services and professional cleaners.

The Ultimate Dusting Brush from Wessel is an indispensable tool in any cleaning arsenal. If you use your vacuum to clean above the floor or for other utility work, a dusting brush is often the tool you will use. Unfortunately the dusting brush included with most vacuums is too small to be used efficiently, has an inconvenient design or shape and may have bristles that are too short or made of material that is inflexible, leaving dust behind on the surface being cleaned.

With one tool, Wessel-Werk has addressed all the deficiencies of regular dusting brushes. The cleaning face has been shaped for the way people clean. The UDB has a five-inch cleaning depth with a 1.5 inch protected opening. The elongated service end of the tool has nearly twice the cleaning area of standard dusting brushes letting the user do more work in a single pass. The top of the UDB is also tapered and the bristles swept forward letting you clean into corners and reach areas inaccessible to other tools; and the suction opening is tapered so suction is evenly distributed the whole length of the tool.

There are 68 individual tufts mounted in a double offset row to the chassis with raised connectors to hold the bristles securely to the tool. The soft bristles are longer to flex as the tool passes over the object being cleaned, using stored tension in the bending bristle to knock dust particles off the surface and into the air stream. The poly bristles and heavy-duty housing are also water washable and fit easily in the top rack of your dishwasher.

The deluxe vinyl upholstery tool included in the CV78PRO is 6" (152mm) wide with a scalloped bottom plate insert and a grooming brush. The shoe design insures continuous air-flow without the need for a suction reducer, eliminating "seal off". The brush strip gently engages upholstery to lift debris and groom surfaces.

The brush also helps to remove hair, pet fur, lint and other clingy soils that suction alone will not remove. The soft outer cover will not mar light colored furniture or scratch soft surfaces and the friction fitting connector will allow use directly at the end of the hose or with any wand extension.

Our unique crevice tool is 13" (330mm) long with flat profile and slots for those "hard-to-reach" corners and crevices where dust and debris can hide. Slots provide additional airflow along the cleaning surface underneath furniture and cabinets. Made of textured ABS plastic the crevice tool is strong enough to take abuse but also just a bit flexible to keep it from breaking.

Most often crevice tools are used for cleaning areas and objects never conceived of by the engineers, and are jammed into, next to, under and between anything and everything. Realizing long ago that crevice tools are used often, and often abused, the crevice tool was redesigned to stand up to rigorous use. The extra length of the crevice nozzle, a full 13 inches, helps you to continue jamming, pushing and prying the crevice tool wherever you need to clean.

Because you can only clean what you can reach with your central vacuum, we wanted to leave you no excuses when using our Lindhaus attachment group. The CV78PRO attachment kit includes two more wands (bringing the total to 3 sets!) made of lightweight ABS for utility cleaning. Each wand is 20" in length and also features a standard 32mm friction fit to inter-operate with every other attachment in the group.

Now you can add all three wand sets together and easily clean the crown molding in a room with 14-foot ceilings. The black ABS wands can be used in any combination directly on the hose grip to give you just the right reach for cleaning your car, sofa or under the refrigerator with the extra long crevice tool. The cob webs in the corner will have no way to escape the cleaning reach you have with the Lindhaus attachment kit.

Lindhaus CVS System Storage
Now that you have the ultimate CVS attachment group, you need the ultimate storage solution to keep the tools from piling up in your closet - after all using your CVS should be convenient. Even a kit as complete as the CV78PRO should just store in your closet, not fill it up.

To keep your tools in reach while you clean floors, the CV78PRO includes the wand mount tool caddie to keep your three above the floor tools on hand, ready for use. The wand caddie snaps onto the telescopic wand and provides three connectors to store the dust brush, crevice tool and upholstery nozzle. If you prefer, the wand caddie can also attach to the ultra-light telescopic instead. Having your basic 3 in reach at all times can increase efficiency and give you the opportunity to do detail cleaning when needed.

To keep all of your tools neat and tidy, storage is provided via a soft fabric storage bag with pockets for the dusting brush, upholstery nozzle and crevice tool. There are two side pockets for the two utility wands and a larger center pocket that is large enough to store the EP14105 floor brush.

The fabric storage features a strong loop of nylon at the top so the bag can hang on a hook in your storage closet or you can hang the loop over a coat hanger and store the tools on a closet rod. Easy to transport, the fabric storage bag is an easy way to move all your tools to the area being cleaned, instead of walking back and forth to your storage closet to retrieve one tool at a time.

An extra large hose hanger provides hose storage. Made of polypropylene and matched to the CV78PRO attachment group, the hose hanger provides plenty of space to keep your hose coiled up off the floor, preventing damage. Easy to mount to any wall with screws or wall anchors, the hose hanger provides plenty of space for the hose, even when wrapped tightly in many shorter loops. Keeping your hose coiled and off the floor will greatly extend its cleaning life and help to keep it flexible for many years. The additional space inside the hose hanger is large enough to store either the EP14105 floor tool or the Wessel-Werk UDB dusting brush.

Providing for complete "off the floor" accessory storage the CV78PRO attachment group from Vacdepot.com includes two wall mount wand holders. These unique devices mount directly to the wall with included screws or wall anchors and feature a flexing, pivoting rubber strap.

To store the telescopic wand and Lindhaus power brush, just push the wand into the rubber strap and it locks into place supporting the full weight of wand and nozzle, hanging on the wall and out of the way. A second wand holder is also included to store the second aluminum telescopic wand off the floor with or without the 14" floor brush attached.
